We caught up with Aaron Bowen after his impressive victory on March 1st, 2025, at the SSE Arena in Belfast. Aaron delivered a standout performance, showcasing sharp footwork and pinpoint punching to outclass his opponent. The bout featured on the highly anticipated Crocker vs. Donovan card, adding another highlight to an action-packed night of boxing.

  1. First off, congratulations on a big win at the SSE Arena on March 1st! What were your thoughts going into the fight?

I felt relaxed and confident. I’d trained hard and worked on things from my previous fight, which I wasn’t too happy about. I really worked on drills to help, with the 200 fans travelling over [from Coventry], I was determined to win at any cost.

  1. Cacheiro was a tough opponent, but we noticed he came in above the weight limit. How did you feel about this and what kind of mental and physical challenges did this pose?

My opponent weighed in 10 pounds heavier and the fight was almost called off. I requested it stayed on as I did not mind. I believed I would win at any weight and it just made me want to smash him up even more for failing weight!

  2. How do you feel about your performance overall and did this fight teach you anything new about yourself?

The fight was good. I won every round, felt fit, strong and in control. I would have liked him to fight back more to create more gaps, but i learnt to be patient and get the rounds in.

  3. Incredible support again from the Coventry fans, it was great to see so many travelling up to Belfast for the fight. If you could fight in any city or arena next, where would it be— where would you love to bring the Coventry crowd?

I would love my next one to be Coventry to give the people who always travel a chance for a local one, if not an away day to Saudi 😂

  4. Looking back at your fight camp, how do you think this one went compared to previous camps?

Best camp to date. Got lots of good prep sparring and 1-1 pad work, drills etc. Everything went well so a great camp. We learn each camp.

  5. We had the pleasure of working with your nutritionist and yourself when preparing meal options this fight camp. How did you find the taste and variety of our meal prep options? Did you have any standouts or favourites?

The meals were perfect all camp; taste, portions, macros. Everything was perfect and it is a huge help in my camps to make weight and fuel the sessions & also hit the calorie numbers. My favourite was either the chicken tomato pasta or the sweet chicken with lentils.

  6. Did the meals have any impact your preparation, focus, and training in the lead-up to the fight?

The meals had a positive impact due to the right food in my body the calories I was hitting and also the time I was saving not having to cook. Also, money saving which helped me not stress in that area.

  7. Did you notice any performance benefits compared to previous camps where meal prep wasn’t as much of a priority?

I noticed my strength and running numbers went up in camp compared to before, showing I was fuelled well and able to maintain my level even while cutting weight.

  8. We often see weight management and cutting can be challenging for athlete’s during fight week. Did our meal options help make this process smoother?

The weight cut was not an issue due to the food I was eating. I am big for the weight and it’s questioned if I can make the weight but i made it with ease and still had tasty food throughout camp!

  9. Would you recommend our meal prep service to other boxers or athletes? If so, what would you say makes it stand out?

I would 100% recommend boxers to try your service as I’ve told them. It’s not your typical food prep the taste is unreal and you get plenty of it. You never get bored of eating it, hit the exact macro numbers needed, even during a deficit. The team really are in constant communication and work with my needs, making the whole service 10/10.

  10. Finally, what’s next for Aaron Bowen in 2025? Any big plans on the horizon in or outside the ring?

2025 will be a year of momentum getting back to where I left off. Rounds in the bank, big wins and big knockouts as we aim for titles early 2026!
